Join the Genessee Valley Chapter of the BMW CCA for go kart racing at RPM Raceway in Marketview Mall.  Sharpen your track skills, prepare for the spring track days, or just have fun mixing it up with your GVC friends.  GVC will have a closed karting league starting on Wednesday, February 5, and will run each Wednesday for four weeks.  Dates are 2/5, 2/12, 2/19, 2/263.  We will start at 7:00 pm.  Last year we  had 30 people participate, and had 3 sessions with 10 people per session each night. If we get 32 people signed up the entire night will be a GVC event!

The format will be:
Week 1: 10’ practice, 10’ qualifying, 10’ race.  
Week 2. Mystery format
Week 3: Same as week 1 but in reverse direction.
Week 4: A 30’ enduro, in which you will have to pit twice and change karts.

RPM Raceway staff will keep track of cumulative scores during the 4 weeks, and prizes will be awarded to top finishers.  RPM Raceway can provide helmets or you can bring your own.  RPM requires a DOT helmet rating, so any current Snell helmet will work, but you must have a closed face shield.

RPM Raceway extended a substantial discount to us for our events:  The price will be $185 per person for RPM members (you are a member if you participated last February), or $234 per person for new participants which includes membership at RPM Raceway.   Membership includes one free race on your first visit (separate from our league), a free race on your second visit, a free T-shirt, and member discounts throughout the year.  The price for a closed league is normally $265 for non-members, so this is actually quite a good bargain.
