How can the GVC chapter help it's members?  What would you like us to try?  How can we get more local members involved?  Should we have meetings every other month at some local 'watering hole' ?

don't know if this has been tried before, but perhaps the club could have loaner cars for the driving schools?

something easy to drive, like a 328 with no sunroof (so I can fit with a helmet on) that the club could own, and allow local chapter members to use at some fee?  I figure the car would always be used, if it's around $300 per driving school day?

my selfish reasons -- my only car now is a convertible.  Last year i had a mazda3, which was passable, but a slightly prepared 328 might have made more economic sense, depending on the loaner price.

if the club does not want to own a car, perhaps we could set up a legal/insurance framework for some members to rent their cars to others?

insurance varies by carrier.
you should contact your agent to satisfy your curiosity and car, should anything happen.
some companies will cover an incident, others will not..
some would keep you after the fact, others will not. / its business, just like anything else.
good luck.
