| When the outside temp is greater than 80 degrees or so my 2004 Z4 steering is "sticky" at the 12 o'clock position. By "sticky" I mean the level of effort to turn the wheel is higher than normal; not fluid. I say the 12 o'clock position because I notice this when making slight corrections or lane changes on the freeway. BMW dealer says it is the power steering electronics which are part of an integrated unit that is just about everything between the steering wheel and the tires on the ground; $2,600.00 and then there is the labor! Any body have this problem or has solved it?
