To register for any event you will need to have a 'my
GVC' account. To pre-register for driving school events, you will need to select
the desired event(s) from the Calendar of Events
webpage and follow the instructions listed.
As in past years, student run group assignments are based upon prior track experience
and student evaluations. Preference for acceptance will be given to BMW CCA members
with GVC affiliation.
Note: Convertibles, SUVs, Minivans and Trucks are not allowed as Student cars at
our schools. This includes Z3’s, Z4’s, X5's, X3's, Porsche Cayenne's, etc.
May 10-11: Saturday-Sunday - Watkins Glen International
Online Pre-Registration opens March 1, 2008.
Printed application must be sent with check or money order on Friday, March 28,
2008.
At this school… ~130 students will be accepted.
There will be 4 Run Groups:
A Group -Very Advanced (~25+ days)
B Group - Advanced (~16-25 days)
C Group- Intermediate (~5-15 days)
D Group - Novice (~0-4 Days).
Cost is $420 BMW CCA Members, $460 Non-Members
Fee includes Saturday night garage party and an 'Ultimate Driving School' T-shirt.
For an addition $150, 'A' level students that are applying to the weekend event
may also apply for a special Advanced Driving Skills Program offered on Friday,
May 9, 2008. Accepted students will have 3 - 4 on-track sessions with in-car
instruction. (Please note this is not an open-lapping day) If you apply to
this program and aren't accepted for Friday, your $150 fee will be refunded.
An Instructor Training School will also be held May 9 –11, 2008. For experienced
'A' students who wish to become instructors, please visit the

Cost is $400 USD BMW CCA and CCC Members, $440 USD Non-Members

August 27- 28: Wednesday-Thursday - Watkins Glen International

At this school… ~90 students will be accepted.

C Group - Intermediate (5-15 Days)

September 24-28: Wednesday - Sunday - Watkins Glen International
BMW CCA OFest 2008 - In conjunction with several other
BMW CCA Chapters within the Northeast region, The Genesee Valley Chapter will jointly
host OFest 2008 at Watkins Glen. In addition to 5 days of driving schools,
there will be a wide variety of fun activities such as autocrosses, road rallies,
gymkhana, and social events for you to enjoy, and there will be a BMW CCA club race.
Registration for any and all OFest events will be handled by the national BMW CCA
organization through the official OFest 2008 website. Please

Instructions
Registering for our events is easy. Here's an overview:
2) Once you are logged into my GVC, you may view and update your personal
profile, including your email address and your default car information. Your
personal details should be correct before you pre-register for a school.
3) To sign up for a school, simply visit the Calendar
of Events page to begin the process. Click on the school that you are
interrested in, read the Event Description, then click the 'Click to pre-register'
button. (this button is only displayed if registration is currently open).
4) After clicking the 'Click to Pre-Register' button, your personal profile will
be displayed so that you can update it. Make sure that your email address
is correct. All confirmation notices will be sent via email !
5) Fill in details such as your car and driving school experience.
6) Submit the pre-registration information. An email will be sent to you,
and a confirmation screen will be displayed.
7) Both these contain a link to a web page, click that link. The application
will be displayed.
8) The last step of 'pre-registering' is to print out the 'application' form which
will be displayed.
9) Then, on the day that registration opens, put the 'application' form and a check
in an envelope, and mail it to the address that is on the 'application' form.
Notes:
To have the best odds of being accepted, make sure that the envelope is post-marked
on the day that registration opens.
If you 'pre-registered', but then later find out that you can't make the school,
just don't send the 'pre-registration' form and a check in.
