Ultimate Driving School at Watkins Glen
Wednesday, August 26, 2009 to Thursday, Aug 27, 2009

Overview:
The Genesee Valley Chapter of the BMW CCA is pleased to invite you to participate in our upcoming High Performance Driving School at Watkins Glen International on August 26-27, 2009.

The GVC Chapter has over 25 years of experience conducting HPD Schools at Watkins Glen and is nationally recognized for its structured, state-of-the-art, 2-day driving programs emphasizing skill development and safety. Our certified in-car instructors coach you through all levels of your skill development, from novice drivers to club racers and instructor candidates, reinforcing what is taught during classroom sessions that cover high performance driving techniques.

For those new to the sport and / or new to driving at Watkins Glen, we provide extensive written materials to help you prepare prior to coming to the track and an orientation the night before the event that covers an overview of what to expect, where to go and how to prepare, so that you get the most out of your time at the track. In addition, novice students are required to participate in in-field car control exercises to better understand the limits of their vehicle in a safe and controlled environment.

At the end of the first day of driving, everyone is encouraged to take the guided “Track walk” where you are transported around the track and are allowed to walk each corner while receiving expert pointers from the classroom instructor. After the “Track walk,” we convene back at the garage, where you can meet and mingle with other car enthusiasts, drivers and instructors at our “Garage Party.” Enjoy a variety of appetizers, beer and wine with friends and family. To commemorate the event and give you bragging rights back home, you will receive a limited edition “Ultimate Driving School” T-shirt and “Tech sticker” for your car.

This is your chance to experience the premier and legendary Watkins Glen road-course, with its top notch track facilities and GVC’s High Performance Driving program. The town of Watkins Glen is located at the southern-most tip of Seneca Lake, a summer resort with nearby parks, lodging, restaurants, shops and fun activities for the whole family.
